About

Howdy, my name is Kok Chiann. Friends call me, KC, as its far easier to remember.

As the User Experience (UX) Manager in iconnect360 & Ezypay, it’s my responsibility to enable the  user-centric design of both our billing and CRM product. The lovely stuff I do everyday range from

  • Oversee the requirements and prototyping process
  • Coaching team members on on interaction design, usability and information design
  • Setting and updating design standards
  • Managing and prioritizing research efforts
  • Influence and facilitating product decisions

When available, I enjoy getting my hands dirty in interaction design work, fun stuff.  And despite my love for designing software experiences, I believe only in the investment on features that add value and deliver returns. But value is subjective so sufficient qualitative or quantitative information is sometimes necessary to validate one’s hypothesis. Tricky stuff.

I’m also a speaker and active community member in local software communities like UX Malaysia and MIND. I’m also a Microsoft MVP in Expression Blend since 2009.

If you’re keen to keep in touch you can add me on facebook  or linkedin, or simply follow me on twitter.
